Cellulose fibers are environmentally friendly and it’s natural properties suits as a filtration material filler. Diacel® and Technocel® are made primarily by beech and birch trees. Technocel® 1004 is made of waste paper.

Cellulose fiber as a filter aid

Diacel® is used as a filter aid and together with diatomite or perlite to reinforce the filter cake. Diacel alpha cellulose is characterized by a high degree of purity. It contains no lignin, hemicellulose nor other impurities. It has low density when wet and is chemically inert in the presence of solvents and alkaline substances.

Cellulose for asphalt manufacture

Technocel® is a loose fibre and essential in stabilizing the asphalt mix. The fibre is loose and fluffy, which minimizes mixing time. Topcel is a pellet product made from Technocel. It contains no bitumen and is easy to dose and handle. These two products are highly effective in preventing separation during the production, transportation, laying and compacting of split mastic asphalt.

Cellulose fibre filler

Technocel® is used as filler in a broad range of areas. An important feature of Technocel alpha cellulose is its high degree of purity. It contains no lignin, hemicellulose or other impurities. The fiber structure of echnocel reduces shrinkage and cracking in products such as paints.
